Our farm
We are proud to present our farm and our vanilla-growing process, steeped in tradition and know-how.
We are committed to preserving this age-old tradition while supporting local communities and preserving the environment. We firmly believe in a sustainable approach to vanilla cultivation that respects nature and values the work of our Madagascan partners.
Madagascar's terroir
Located in the tropical regions of Madagascar, our farm benefits from a unique terroir, ideal for growing vanilla. Subtropical climatic conditions, with warm, humid temperatures and rich, fertile soils, provide the perfect environment for the growth of this precious orchid.
Vanilla cultivation
At Savanil, we cultivate our vanilla with the greatest care, respecting traditional methods handed down from generation to generation. Every stage of the process is meticulously orchestrated, from soil preparation to the hand-pollination of the vanilla flowers and the delicate picking of the ripe pods.
The hand of man
Growing vanilla is a true craft, where every gesture is carried out by hand with passion and dedication. Our local farmers, heirs to ancestral know-how, lovingly watch over our plantations to guarantee the quality and authenticity of each vanilla pod.
Process duration
Growing vanilla is a demanding process that requires time and patience. After pollination, vanilla beans take several months to ripen on the vines before being harvested. They then undergo a drying and ripening process that can last several more months, allowing their rich, complex aromas to develop.
